My Blog Name

My Blog Name

When you start blogging for the first time everything becomes a big decision. Whether if it is your niche, your hosting platform, your domain, and the list goes on. Sure, those are some things that you’ll learn along the way, but that one thing that keeps you wondering for endless hours is “what should my blog name be?”

My Blog Name

I have barely been in the blogging world for about four months now, and this is currently my second website. My first one is about something that I have a lot of knowledge and I’m a strong advocate for that area, but when I thought about creating a second website, I wanted it to be as unique as possible. For some reason, I wanted my name as my domain name. Sadly, it wasn’t available. I’m guessing there are a lot of people who already bought the domains with their consecutive names on them. I was somehow sad but I figured out a way to still have my name in my domain, and that it would still represent who I am.

Now, that was my domain name, but what about my blog name? Well, after a lot of thinking of what in the world would I make my website about after buying a domain with my name on it, it turns out, I have no niche in mind to which I’ll follow along the path of my website. I want my website to be as “me” as it can be.

What do I mean by that?

Well, I’m pretty sure there are a lot of other people out there who may have the same mindset as I do, and maybe this website will help them, or make them feel safe in some sort of way while I express what’s on my mind.

Let’s Talk About Life

What a naive and none-creative title that is, right? It came across my mind while I was digging down and deciding what should the name of the blog be, since the domain was already my name, I said, let’s make this website about anything and everything and I honestly don’t regret it.

I have been told so many times that one should only have a specific niche website, but why is that? Of course, I understand that my visitors might get lost and confused about whether my website is about a certain thing or another thing. You see, that’s the beauty of it.

When you have a specific niche website (my other website is niche specific) it can somehow be really stressful finding content and brainstorming your ideas so you can put them down in a piece of paper and make art out of said ideas.

With my website, I have the freedom to talk about whatever I want, what my opinions are, my beliefs, my favorite things, what I don’t like, etc. It’s more like a journal, but I really think a lot of people might relate to the content that I post.

The Meaning Behind Why I Wanted To Do A Personal Website

As an introvert, I’m pretty sure a lot of people go through that stage of feeling too much but not knowing where to store those emotions, those feelings…well, that’s me. Not only am I an introvert but I also struggle with anxiety, meaning that it is extremely hard for me to open up to people and think about my life, emotions, favorite things, etc. I was always drawn into the idea of having a personal journal, but in my case and what I was going through in life, that was a little risky.

Now that I’m in my 20s I can freely talk about all of these things without feeling judged or misunderstood. I can talk about life with you guys and I’m almost sure we may have some of the same experiences.

That is why my blog name is called “Let’s Talk About Life”. I don’t want to only come here and talk to you guys about different aspects of how our mindsets work, but I also want to earn YOUR trust.

I created this blog to communicate with all of you who may be feeling the same way: struggling with mental health, disabilities, love for TV shows and music, religion, fears, traumas, human rights, unhealthy coping mechanisms, obsessing over celebrities and being in fandoms, politics, what keeps you up at night…you know, all that fun stuff that we’re sometimes scared to talk about because we don’t want other people judging us, much less making fun of us.

I am so willing to connect with any of you who would like to talk, if so, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I would love nothing more than to hear from you and just know how your day is going. I would love nothing more than for this website to be a safe please for everyone and anyone. If you would like to leave a comment down below that would be really much appreciated as well.

I’m also really curious, what did you think of how my blog name came to life? Do you like it? Is it misleading or confusing? Your feedback will help me improve this website so we can all enjoy and have a great time without feeling like you’re left out.

Also, if you would like to check my other website out, I will leave the link to it right here!

I think that its awesome that you decided to make a blog around a name where you feel comfortable to write what ever you want. That’s the whole point of blogging right, to say whatever you want.

I have been looking into domains recently however because my name has been taken I will have to find something else that I can relate to. In the meantime, I will have to bullet point my ideas on where I want to take that website, but reading this post has given me some motivation to do so.

    Thanks for sharing,

A lot of us take the content side of blogging very seriously, we feel that we need to write certain content to do with that niche and while that is what we need to do in order to gain authority, some days you may want to have a break.

So having a blog where you can vett about anything you want is cool, just take this post for example its clear that you are writing what you want to do and going with the flow. I admire that!

You’re very welcome (There’s plenty of space for anyone in here); Blogging is creative writing and research (close to art and close to science). As in art, everyone has a proposal to make, you might or might not exercise your capability to do so, but anyone carries a blogger inside.

I like the proposed name for your blog (as I can see it now carries your name as a domain). Life is all you made out of it. Being more an ongoing operation of our future, than the results of our past is the key to understand ourselves and allow us to develop our full potential.

When we talk, we share. By sharing, we’re taking out what’s within us for good. When we share good things they multiply and when we share the bad one they get diluted.

    Hello Steph,

I think a whole lot of people can relate to the idea you’re trying to bring to life. I believe the original form of blogging is what you’re doing now, just like keeping a journal. I don’t see anything wrong with the name of the blog. Personally I think its cool. You get the freedom to talk exclusively about you. Share your experiences, your likes, your moods and so on. Anyone who comes across this site would know right away that there’s a place for him/her here.

That is exactly what I want my site to be about. Thank you for stopping by!

Same thing happened to me too. I really had a hard time coming with a domain name. In fact, it took me about 2 weeks before I was struck with a beautiful name. I was really afraid of having a domain name that I’ll regret later.

I think that your blog is amazing just the way it is. I can say that you have a direction and have made it known already. When your visitors like me read “Let’s Talk About Life”, I’ll immediately know what your blog is all about.

Keep up the good work. I think you’re doing great, Stephanie.
